DepScout

Terms of service

Last updated 2 October 2026. By using DepScout you agree to these terms.

The service

DepScout is a free tool that retrieves public open-source vulnerability and package information from OSV.dev and deps.dev. It is provided by Yash Chowdhury and is not affiliated with Google, OSV.dev, deps.dev, the OpenSSF, GitHub, OpenAI or any package registry.

Information only

Results are informational and may be incomplete, delayed or out of date. No known advisory does not mean a package is safe, and newly published malware may not be listed yet. Don't rely on DepScout as your only security control; use it alongside your own review, lockfile auditing and security tooling.

Acceptable use

Don't use DepScout for unlawful purposes or to overload, scrape or disrupt the service.

No warranty

DepScout is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any damages arising from its use.

Changes

We may change or discontinue DepScout and these terms at any time. Contact: yc@salesup.club.
